Exploration companies worldwide are capturing large exploration permits that can reach thousands of km2 in complex geological areas with sparse subsurface geophysical data. Several authors have proposed adapted petroleum workflows to explore for natural hydrogen, however, we lack a dedicated tool that can integrate the wide variety of data (point, raster, line and polygon) with consideration to uncertainty and weighting of relative importance.
2H Resources have been developing a new solution that is integrating all the elements of the natural hydrogen system to identify areas of prospectivity. This is a novel mapping solution that can be adjusted to produce play maps at country, basin and permit scales. Our new Hydrogen Exploration Mapper (HEMA) provides an efficient, low-cost solution to integrate disparate data into an effective exploration program.
