Bio
Olivier Sissmann is a French geochemist who specializes in fluid-rock interactions. After defending a PhD on CO2 mineral storage at Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris and Ecole Normale Supérieure, he joined IFP energies nouvelles in 2013 as a Research Scientist. Since then, he has been working on geologic H2 emissions, collecting & analyzing rock and gas samples around the globe whenever the opportunity arose, and mentoring PhD students on the subject. Today, he acts as co-leader of the IEA TCP Task 49 on Native Hydrogen, and works with colleagues from around the globe to bring new data and recommendations to the energy industry.
