- Yashee Mathur is an energy researcher at Stanford University and leading practitioner in geologic hydrogen. She focuses on identifying promising opportunities and reducing development risk—from early exploration and development to techno-economic analysis. Previously, she worked in subsurface roles at Cairn Oil & Gas and held AI research roles at Shell, experiences that shaped her practical, data-driven approach. Yashee has authored publications, led field efforts, and collaborated across industry and academia for natural hydrogen exploration. Her goal is to help convert geologic hydrogen into a reliable, affordable part of the energy mix—accelerating a faster, fairer transition.
