- Dr Daniel Dawson is the Exploration Manager at H2EX, where he focuses on the exploration of natural hydrogen and helium systems. With 18 years of experience in subsurface exploration, development, and production, he combines deep geoscience expertise with modern data science approaches to advance exploration, prospect evaluation, and resource assessment. Prior to joining H2EX in 2023, Dr Dawson spent 14 years with Woodside Energy, supporting exploration teams in the maturation of leads and prospects for drilling, post-well evaluation, and subsurface studies across approximately 40 sedimentary basins in 20 countries. Earlier in his career, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Applied Chemistry at Curtin University. Dr Dawson holds a Bachelor of Science (Applied Chemistry) with First Class Honours and a PhD in Organic and Stable Isotope Geochemistry from Curtin University.
