Informations
- Bio
- Santiago Díaz Cubillos is a Chemist and M.Sc. student in Chemistry at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia and a member of the Solid State and Enviromental Catalysis (ESCA) Research Group. His research focuses on the mechanisms of natural hydrogen generation in sedimentary systems, with particular interest in water–rock interactions, the transformation of organic matter, and the potential catalytic contribution of the mineral fraction. His work combines high-pressure reactor experiments, gas chromatography, and physicochemical characterization of geological materials to better understand the processes controlling natural hydrogen formation. Through this research, he aims to contribute to the development of geological hydrogen as a sustainable and low-carbon energy resource.
