Bio

Achyuta Ayan Misra holds a Ph.D. in Geology from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India. Trained as a regional and structural geologist, he brings nearly two decades of experience in the oil and gas industry and currently serves as a Lead Geologist at Reliance Industries Limited, Mumbai. Achyuta has recently transitioned into the company’s Clean Energy division, where his work focuses on geothermal energy, natural hydrogen exploration, and carbon dioxide storage in basalt formations. His core technical interests include structural geology and fluid–rock interactions, areas in which he has contributed to both applied industry solutions and broader geoscientific understanding.
